1. Information We Collect Directly

Mahjong Guides is designed to work without user registration. We do not directly collect personal information such as:

• Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
• Account credentials or social profile information
• Contacts, calendar data, photos, videos, microphone recordings, or camera content
• Precise GPS location
• Payment card or financial information

Learning content, AI practice state, tile examples, and coach hints are generated and displayed inside the app. The current version does not operate a developer-controlled server for accounts, cloud saves, leaderboards, or analytics.

2. Local App Data

The app may keep temporary or local information on your device to run lessons and practice sessions, such as the selected Mahjong rule set, current AI practice hand, remaining wall count, table log, and unlocked coach hint state during app use.

This local app data is used to provide the learning and practice experience. It is not sold by us and is not intentionally transmitted to a developer-owned backend.

3. Advertising and Third-Party Services

Mahjong Guides uses Google Mobile Ads SDK to show banner ads, app open ads, and rewarded ads.

Google Mobile Ads

Google Mobile Ads may collect or process information from your device to provide advertising, limit fraud and abuse, measure ad performance, and comply with legal obligations. Depending on your device settings, region, consent choices, and Google configuration, this may include:

• Android Advertising ID and other device or app identifiers
• IP address and network information
• Approximate location inferred from IP address or network signals
• Ad interactions, app interactions, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data
• Information used for ad personalization, frequency capping, measurement, and fraud prevention

Ad formats used in this app

• Banner ads: displayed in a fixed area at the bottom of the app interface.
• App open ads: may be shown when the app returns from the background. The app is configured to avoid showing an app open ad immediately on the first cold start.
• Rewarded ads: optional ads that users may choose to watch to unlock an extra coach hint. Core lessons and practice are not blocked if you do not watch a rewarded ad.

4. Permissions

The app may request or include the following permissions:

• Internet access: used to load ads and related network resources.
• Network state: used to check network availability for ad loading.
• Advertising ID-related permissions: may be automatically included by Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising, measurement, and compliance purposes.

The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, phone call log, or precise location permissions.

5. How Information Is Used

Information handled by the app and third-party services may be used to:

• Provide Mahjong lessons, tile references, glossary content, and AI practice features
• Display, limit, measure, and improve ads
• Prevent fraud, abuse, invalid ad traffic, and security issues
• Maintain app functionality and diagnose technical problems

We do not sell personal information. Because the app uses Google Mobile Ads, advertising-related information may be shared with or processed by Google and its advertising partners as described in Google's policies.

• You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID in your device settings where available.
• You can manage ad personalization settings through your Google account and Android device settings.
• You can choose not to watch rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are optional.
• You can uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device.

8. Data Retention

Local practice information is generally kept only as needed for the app experience and may be cleared when the app is closed, reset, updated, or uninstalled, depending on Android behavior.

Mahjong Guides is intended for a general audience interested in learning Chinese Mahjong. It is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law in your region.

If you plan to market this app to children or list children as part of the target audience in Google Play, you must review and configure ads, consent, content, and data practices to comply with all applicable child-directed app requirements before release.

10. International Users

The app and third-party advertising services may process information in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws may differ from those in your country or region.
